The Music Of Friendship
These are the latest CDs created by Jimi for me. One is titled Serenity, a collection of English songs, and the other one is Nurani, a collection of spiritual songs by leading Nasyidians in Malaysia. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me the CDs before he went back to Kampar this morning. He just knew how to affect me spiritually, as he always does. Even during my short stay in Kelantan for two weeks, he just knew how to move me deeply by driving all the way from Kampar with his Suri to my hometown in Pasir Mas.
As I listened to some inspiring tracks from Bernard Lachance, I recalled all the great songs from Jimi’s collections that have become a significant part of my musical world. He introduced me to a lot of amazing worlds through sweet rhythms and unforgettable melodies. He is so responsible for my love affairs with so many genres of music especially Korean songs. I know for sure that this latest addition will live and breathe through me wherever I go.
Thank you for the music, Jimi. Our songs might be gone one day, but our music of friendship will always stay.
