Lord Melbourne

I will remember this story of The Young Victoria – not because of the stunning costume worn by the skinny Emily Blunt, nor the Bollywood-like love affairs between shy Princess Victoria and sheepish Prince Albert, nor the gothic cinematography of Westminster Abbey and Bleinheim Palace, nor the cheeky waltz dance and all that jazz – but because of the powerful character of Lord Melbourne played by talented Paul Bettany. Portrayed as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and a personal mentor of Queen Victoria, I still can’t believe that the city of Melbourne was named after this cunning dude.
