Felix

Meet Mr Tan – a cool sepet guy from Singapore, hehe. 

For one thing, Felix has an amazing linguistic skill in switching English foreign accents from Thai to Phillipino to Chinese. But there’s something else about this man that is so intellectually fascinating. Felix, a Catholic, is undertaking a graduate study in Political Islam in Post-Cold War Malaysia (isn’t that mind-boggling?).

“I want you to be my translator when I interview Tok Guru in Kelantan soon. Don’t worry, I’ll put your name in the acknowledgement section. That’s easy, man!” he said to me very casually.  

It’s a shame that I myself have never met the great Tok Guru.
